Users are presented with 4 Key Areas: Culture and Environment; Relationships and Partnerships; Curriculum; Policy, Practice and Planning. Take some time to preview the supporting statements that reflect the school’s approach to online safety.
Collaborate: Users can assign multiple accounts, depending on the size of the school, input may be required from various staff members, for example SPHE coordinator, Digital Learning lead, administrative staff, etc.
Begin review: Read each statement carefully and select the statements that apply to your school. Please note these statements reflect best-practice, depending on school size and context – some statements may not apply.
Once you have completed each section, a report is generated outlining your overall score and suggestions to make further progress and improvements.
Implement the recommendations: Take time to look at areas for improvement using the resources provided.
Revisit the tool: Users can login and update your online safety achievements on the tool at any time in the My Documents section.
After completing your review you can download a Certificate of Participation and a Digital Badge for taking part.
